Just saw an ep of Atlantis where they have a shrink named Dr.
Heightmeyer. I wonder if she was named as a tribute to EFC actress Jane
Heitmeyer?

Maybe you wannna ask that in the SG and / or EFC or SF TV newsgroups instead
of the BSG one.

Or at least label it "OT" if it's posted in the BSG newsgroup.

I see a LOT of off topic posts in BSG group that are not labelled "OT".
I don't see a lot of taking to task to most of those "violators of
proper posting procedure".

It's easier to ignore one, then the second, the third, fourth, fifth, sixth,
seventh, so by the hundredth, two hundredth, a thousandth, patience gets
worn thin. Ultimately, no one can't make you not post off-topically. It's
your choice to follow netiquette or not.

But threads drift, morph and pull unexpected twists and turns.

If it is an active thread, you don't know what froup everyone who is
actively involved is in. That's why I tend to not snip froups from
the headers, you could be cutting off someone who has a lot to add to
the thread, because you snipped their froup.
