I agree.
Beats me why they killed off the gould (snake thingies) I can think of
dozens of ways they could have used them - even one big enough ( I
suspect) for a kick ass movie that married the TV and earlier movie
scenarios. That woould have been nice.

What they probably need now is someonelike Joss Whedon who really thrives
on writing himself into a box then findig creative ways out of it.

From what I'm seeing at the moment they seem to be doing things a bit by
rote.

Still worth a watch though. ;-)
