Wow, the final mystery of the three Trances solved and it would have to
be the two final episodes. But it does look utterly spectacular.

I've gotta admit -- the Coucil of Avatars reminds me of the Council of
Cross-Time Kangs from The Avengers. Except with a hot babe rather
than one of Kirby's lamer male villains.

LORELAI: In the movie, only boy hobbits travel to Mount
Doom, but that's only because the girls went to do something
even more dangerous.
GIRL: What?
LORELAI: Have you ever heard of a Brazilian Bikini Wax?

I don't think this is the first time we see all the Trances together at
one time is it?

Wasn't there a *male* avatar in the episode when Dylan and Bekka had to
do combat in an arena?

Flux ("In Heaven Now Are Three"). He ~could've~ been an avatar (like Trance,
he seemed to have a secret, and there was reference to them both going
through "a change" [this was after Trance turned gold]), but the script was
suitably ambiguous. The general assumption was that he was an avatar, and a
variety of explanations have been put forth as to why he looked like he did
(blue, swarthy, and with two horn-like ridges).

Others we know of include Azazel (also gold, and apparently able to function
in Pyrian atmosphere), and a being called Mesmer, whose death Trance sensed.

IMO, we still don't know if the Council of Avatars is a parliament of
all the sun avatars of *just this universe,* of the sun avatars across
the multiverse, or if it's a Council of Avatars of just the Trances
across the entire multiverse.

It's implied in Mora's resemblance to Trance that Mora 1) is more or
less, Queen Trance and 2) that she was probably the Bad Trance who
impersonated our Trance 'til last week's episode.

I think it's clear that the Trances can shape-shift at will into any
and all forms that they choose, Azazel, Mesmer, Purple Trance, Battle
Angel Trance (pre-this season); Elf Trance (this season), Mora and
therefore the operative question is more along the lines of why do the
avatars choose these different guises, which seem basically arbitary
and whimsical in retrospect?

Well, in this particular case the Council is composed of all the Trances
from each universe. You heard Bad Trance refer to Trance as "sister."
There are maybe dozens of Trances on the
Council-- probably including the one that was Virgil Vox now that the
Sefra system is all but gone.

But for the other folks, just because Trance was a sun's avatar, that
doesn't mean her brother and the rest of her people were avatars of
anything. However, we do know that Trance's people are very powerful in
themselves.
