Some random thoughts:

This ep reminded me of Star Trek TNG's "Parallel" episode in which Worf
was hopscotching from universe to universe just as Dylan would find
himself doing in this ep.

Man, Doyle locked in that room for 60+ years. That was kinda
heartbreaking. I wonder where she and Dylan went to once they escaped.
And that kiss. It was akwardly played out, I thought. Maybe it was a
sympathy kiss on Doyle's part.

I missed seeing Sam Sorbo as Dylan's wife. I was really hoping to see
her when that door opened. It was fun watching Brandy Ledford play
Dylan's wife, though.

That riddle: Evas are fees. See you cave. Ugh. When Dylan finally solved
it, I was a little disappointed. I was expecting something more
profound, so I was looking for meaning in the riddle that wasn't there.
Maybe Dylan did too, but I don't think he gave the riddle much thought,
or even had time to, until the end. I would have given myself kuddos if
I had solved it before Dylan did, but oh well.

Andromeda's back to 100% and we now have the Elysians. My question is
whether or not we will see them before the end of the season. I wonder
if they will play a role in resolving any loose ends.

Overall, I liked the episode. It was a totaled head trip, and I enjoyed
the ride.

As far as I could tell, they are some sort of super race, existing in a
higher dimension, another plane, with faster a Internet connection,
etc., etc.

By allowing him to jump around, they gave him information about how to
save the Seefra evacuees. He got this from Doyle in the timeline in
which she was locked up in that hologram cell. The riddle told him to
save the Seefra evacuees, so this clued Dylan in to take the solution
Doyle provided and somehow fight his way back to his own timeline, to
wake up, and turn off the exotic dancer, I mean, exotic matter doohickey
thereby preventing an explosion and saving the evacuees. As far as why
the Elysians took an interest in this, I don't know.

I had the same thought! Except that TNG ep is one of my favorites,
while the Andromeda effort isn't even in the same class. Not that I
didn't enjoy it, mind you.
"Parallels" is definitely a classic. I can remember so much about that
episode even though it's been years since I've seen it. Who could ever
forget that dinner scene with Troi at the end?

I just kept thinking that Brandy did the kiss "porno style." I mean,
she couldn't have opened her mouth up faster.
LOL! I gotta watch that scene again.

That riddle: Evas are fees. See you cave. Ugh.
Major ugh! The first thing I thought of was that it's something
backwards. But then I didn't try to figure it out.
You were way ahead of me. I was thinking along the lines of "evas" being
something Dylan would need to pay ("fees"), and I was expecting a scene
with Dylan running around in one of those tunnels or caves we saw
earlier this season ("See you cave"). I was at least grateful we were
spared that.

Who didn't know that the captain would turn out to be the Elysian.
Wasn't that a unique looking actor? I was thinking they did a good job
of casting him. He did the alien-like appearance well.

He was Goa'uld in Stargate, and, it turns out, has even appeared on
Andromeda before:

I see that he was that Dog man on Dark Angel.

Yes thank god extremely limited Seefra stuff.

Yes, he was great! I think it was twice he played a totally likeable
guy - the lab technician and then the captain. The first time, of
course, he reverted to being evil and trying to kill Dylan. Or WAS he
ever evil? Anyway, that captain at the end was once again a totally
likeable, winsome guy! But....was he? What if Dylan was really still in
a hallucination after all?! We'll never know! Great ending.

Hmm. Y'know, it's possible that everything after S1 is all a hallucination
that happend when Dylan got knocked out during the magog attack. . .

In the last episode, he'll wake up just in time to see magog overrunning the
wrecked Command Centre, feasting on Beka and the remains of still-purple
Trance. . .

if the season / series ends with Dylan waking up from a really strange
dream, I suggest that Sorbo has to be forced to play second fiddle to
Lucy Lawless again as punishment.

Hmm.

Evas are fees = Seefra save. (seef-era savE => Seef'ra save)

It's awkward though. It barely works textually (just reversing the letters),
I'm guessing not at all verbally (reversing the sounds), though I haven't
heard how they pronounce "Evas," 'cause I don't watch the show.

Applying the same rule to the the second sentence, we get "evac uoy eeS"
which. . . makes no sense anyway I spin it. Except for "evac," which is the
short form of evacuate. Maybe "see you" was supposed to be "c u." That gives
us "evac u c." which still doesn't. . . hold on, I've got it! If the
original was "See U cave," it'd be "Evacuees!"

Of course, it's possible "Evas are fees" is an Evangelion reference, and
that the price to pay will be roughly equivalent to a set of Evangelion DVDs
(several million dollars, round these parts :'( ).

'Cause I'm in Canada and on dial-up. And even if I had a faster connection,
the past four years haven't left me with any real excitement for

No, what?
ANDROMEDA CHARACTERS AS EVANGELION CHARACTERS!!!

Dylan == Shinji
Tyr == Touji
Harper == Kensuke
Trance == Rei
Beka == Misato
Rhade == Kaji
Rommie == Asuka
Andromeda (ship/AI) == Evas 00-to-02
Rev Bem == Kaworu

Magog == Angels
Spirit of the Abyss == Adam
HyperMagog == Mass production Evas
Patriarch/Adm. Stark == Gendo
Vedrans == Seele
Restored Commonwealth == Nerv
Balance of Judgement == Eva-03
RHW == Pen-Pen

There seem to be no matches for Gen. Fuyutsuki and Dr. Akagi, because
competent and/or brilliant people have no place in Andromeda.

Mark
"The show's promise and potential == Eva-04."

A winding down series with a budget <for more than one speaking guest star
role> would have used an episode like this to revisit lots of old friends. I
would've liked to have seen Admiral Stark one more time for starters.

But if my take on the episode is correct, that all the realities Dylan visited
were creations of his own mind, then having Doyle be Sara was very telling.
Dylan's got a thing for Doyle.

I thought GMW might be having a little fun and it would turn out to be a
message in ancient Greek. Not so, and backwards spelling was a let down,
especially since there wasn't even any special insight required to solve it
except it was time for the denouement. OTH if it all was just Dylan's mind
