Okay, both Mutant X and Andromeda has a final episode that's due (two in the case
of Mutant X) but my TV guide
doesn't have them listed for Saturday. I hate mysteries like this. Does anybody
have the same problem in their areas? And do you think your local stations would
_dare_ to end either or both shows without airing the finales?

Dunno - my "local" station stopped showing Andromeda at the end of
series 3 - I havn't seen past this - even the DVD's are priced and
packaged to make people avoid them.

Blame it on out of sync syndication seasons. Tribune's 2004 syndication season
still has two weeks to run counting this week. But most syndicators are
starting their 2005 seasons this week. It happens every fall. Most local
schedules spend a couple of weeks in flux until all the old seasons expire and
all the new ones begin.

Locally for me the bastard syndicated run of _Enterprise_ is taking over
_Mutant X's_ timeblock starting this week. I won't even speak the names of the
gunk that's taking _Andromeda's_ slot. _Mutant X_ and _Andromeda_ will finish
out their runs at 2 and 3am Sat night/Sun mornings.

Did you check andromedatv.com's showfinder to see if your station might have
made a similar adjustment?

The station that runs Enterprise ran maybe one-- no more than two commercials at
most-- announcing the return of Enterprise. Boy, they were really dedicated to
promoting it.
Ha! But here it will run at 4:00 Saturday afternoon in the spot that usually gone
to episodes of the new Outer Limits.

I never really did actually like the new Outer Limits, but
after watching it long enough, I'll miss it when it's gone. And sorry to say,
Enterprise is not a serious contender even for that. It's a bloody shame that only
during that last season somebody heard me bitching about getting good writers
like Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens, but by that time
they were only plugging up holes in a sinking ship.

But thanks for reminding about andromedatv.com; I'll
check there. Seeing the last two shows of Mutant-X
and Andromeda at 3:00 Sunday morning is better than
being pissed off about missing it for a season or more.

I've seen the local WB affiliate air those two shows late
after some sports game or some other program that
pre-empted them, so I'm hoping they will be consistent
these last two times to wrap everything up. If so, I'll get a chance to put
Andromeda's final two episodes on one
tape. While Mutant X wasn't great, I'd rather watch re-runs of that on Saturdays
than episodes of Buffy.
