They're going to turn it into a Battlefield Earth sequel. And probably
would improve Trek if they did. and THAT, my friend, is a sad commentary
on the state of star trek, today.

It's certainly a scary thought, but in fairness to him I recall
reading that he was a Star Trek fan years ago. Keep in mind his
religion is also based on space aliens and positive thinking, both of
which are cornerstones upon which Star Trek is based, so you can see
why it would appeal to him.

His visit was probably aimed at both trying to win some more converts
for L. Ron and a chance for him to hit on some young male stars before
they become too famous to suck his dick.
