Did I Miss Something?

I was watching Season 3 on DVD and I think I must have missed an
episode or two

* Where did all the other people on Andromeda come from? I don't
rememeber seeing the episode that explained they were taking on new
crew memebers.

*What happened to Tyr's boneblades? There were some comments in Season
3 about them missing but I don't remember the episode where they were
removed (and why).

Any help?

Okay, that's Schroedinger's Crew. They first started appearing about
six episodes into S3...it's possible that some of them are the former
crewmembers of the exploratory ship _Bellerophon_ ('The Lone And Level
Sands'), and that some came from the new High Guard academy on Mobius.

Tyr just showed up in the third-season premiere sans blades. Exactly
what happened to them has never been explained; since he was stuck in
the pocket universe the black Predator-esque aliens (the S2 finale)
came from, it's implied that they "took" them somehow.

Any help?

The blades were surgically removed by the writers probably because the actor
didn't like them. I remember a conversation Tyr had with someone who
noticed he had them removed and thought that was a good thing. That's the
only explaination we got.

Frankly, I didn't like them either since they were obviously attached to the
gauntlets. A little latex and robotics could have made them extend and
retract in real time without a visible gauntlet. Heck even the Andorians on
Enterprise got their antenea to move.
